First post mi'lady!

I have decided on the theme of *drum roll please*
The Secret Life of the Ordinary.
We had approximately 10 minutes to choose a theme for the new A2 year.
I panicked. Made around 198201792 spider diagrams and lists in the space of 9 minutes, frantically scribbled down three themes which I thought could possibly produce interesting ideas, asked my neighbour to choose a number from one to three, crossed the chosen one out and then flipped a coin to choose my final theme. Tails. The Secret Life of the Ordinary.Bam.

"Hmm.. And what will be the message that you would like to communicate to your viewers with this .. theme?" asked Binks the super evil hag  art teacher.
No idea no idea think think think of something deep and meaningful think think don't go cliché, something original unthought of, wonderful, exciting, mature, sophisticated, witty, come on inner poet/genius, I know you're in there somewhere..
-"Umm. How umm objects are like... overlooked.. and stuff and umm.. people don't really see what's really there or umm.. maybe like.. when like.. the objects in Beauty and the Beast or Toy Story come to life umm..  or ordinary people that seem ordinary but are really the opposite behind closed um doors... and umm.. yeah.. that's it."

Yes. I have issues expressing myself clearly. Or saying anything that sounds remotely smart.
Tomorrow I will brainstorm some ideas, but first I will sleep and hopefully a Muse shall visit me in my dreams and I will wake up with so much inspiration and ideas I will not be able to stop myself from drawing till Christmas~

The three frantic themes:

  1. The Secret life of the Ordinary
  2. Urban Nature
  3. Childhood Dreams
It seemed like a good choice at the time, pretty open etc
But now my mind is pretty much filled with only emptiness and thoughts about when the sky will stop pissing down on me (how very British).
Oh well. I'm stuck with it now!
