This is the last post that is written in the past. It's now nearly 2 in the morning. I am leaving in a few hours and my bag is still unpacked and I am dangerously close to hitting my face with the keyboard.
Good thing I have nearly finished then :)
My cousin's house has recently smelt a little.... funky to say the least. I have now discovered the potted culprits.
This is how I usually think of my grandmother (Mamie Linette). Either in her kitchen (for it is very much her's) preparing dinner for us or bent over in her vegetable patch, tending to and watering her plants. She's very hard-working even though she has difficulty breathing due to asthma and suffers back pains. She hardly complains though.
She really is one of my inspirations.
Heehee. I don't know why but I love this picture a lot.. Maybe because of the person in it? *HINT*
This is my uncle's working out room. I've always found it hilarious how there is a picture of a kitten in front of the machine.
Sewing machines also remind me of my grandmother. She used to make me costumes for Carnival and clothes for my doll's :)
When the sky turned red. Superstitious people used to believe that when the sky became this red at sunset it meant that doom had come and satan and devils and god and yadiyadiya..
Anyway it wasn't usually a good omen when the sky became deep red.
I thought red sky at night, sheperd's delight.
I was wrong. A seriously bad mofo of a storm arrived.
I thought it was appropriate to end on sunsets?
I should be back in England by now or off the coast in a boat.
I am looking forward to seeing people again (a certain someone very included in that looking forward too). I'm feeling a little sad to leave France behind though.. I will miss my family and the good food :)
I'm now having trouble to keep my eyes open. If I had more time I would of most probably written pages and pages about how nice and tender the meat is here but my brain can't really handle it right now.
See you on the other side of the Channel :)
Xxx
